Is Laser Therapy Safe?
Laser Therapy is completely safe. The FDA has classified low-level laser therapy as a “non-significant risk device”.

How does the laser work?
The light energy the laser emits is absorbed by the skin through stimulation of accupressure points. It triggers the body to enter into a constant release of endorphins, which can help alleviate the physical withdrawal symptoms associated with you no longer smoking. When this takes place, you can focus on changing your patterns and habits.

How many treatments do I need?
For our smoking program, all clients are offered three (3) laser treatments, guidance and advice. You should be smoke-free after your primary visit. We’ll schedule a follow-up visit within the first three (3) days of living smoke-free. This will provide additional support and reinforcement once the nicotine and toxins leave the body. You’ll have a third treatment that may be utilized, if required. If you are coming to see us for the Weight or Stress Management programs, packages consist of four (4) weekly visits.

Where do you place the laser?
The laser is placed on energy points on the ears, nose, hands and wrists. For Weight & Stress clients, there are additional points on the arms, legs and feet.

How long are the treatments?
Plan on spending one hour (1) for your primary visit. Follow-ups last approximately twenty (20) minutes. For Weight or Stress Management, plan on spending one and a half hours (1.5) on your primary visit and forty-five (45) minutes for your follow-ups.

How will I feel once I receive my laser treatments?
Treatments are very relaxing and most clients feel calm and mellow.

Does insurance cover this?
At the present time, we do not bill insurance carriers. However, you may want to check with your provider to see if they offer any type of reimbursement. We’ll provide the proper receipt.

Are treatments performed by a Doctor?
No, all treatments are performed by an Anne Penman Certified Laser Technician.

How far in advance do I need an appointment?
Just a day or so.

Do I need to prepare for my appointment?
We recommend you clear away any ashtrays, lighters and matches. Have your last cigarette at our door before your appointment.

I live out of town. Can you accommodate?
Absolutely! We love travelers and have treated folks from all over the U.S. and abroad.
